ANNAPOLIS AREA

ASSAULTS

Hazel Nut Ct., 1300 block, 8:08 p.m. March 20. During a dispute at a residence, a man with a hammer struck a female acquaintance several times. The woman escaped to a neighbor’s home. An Annapolis man, 33, was arrested. Charges included attempted murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. The woman was taken to a hospital.

BROOKLYN PARK AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Bolivar Ave., 200 block, 9:15 a.m. March 19. A break-in occurred at a residence. An intruder seen leaving the premises was arrested a short time later. A man, 41, of no fixed address, was charged with fourth-degree burglary.

Fourth St., 5300 block, 2:37 a.m. March 22. A man who had left a residence after a dispute among acquaintances returned a short time later, forced his way back inside and attacked two men. The men were taken to a hospital, where they were treated for stab wounds.

GLEN BURNIE AREA

ROBBERIES

Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., 7700 block, 11:12 a.m. March 16. Two gunmen wearing surgical masks threatened a clerk at a convenience store, then took cash and fled on foot.

Quarterfield Rd. and Thelma Ave., 9:51 p.m. March 16. Two men attacked a man and robbed him of cash. The injured man was treated at a hospital. A Glen Burnie man, 24, and a Baltimore man, 27, were arrested. Charges included robbery, second-degree assault and theft.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

King George Dr., 300 block, 10:13 a.m. March 19. A man was seen leaving a house with property. A Glen Burnie man, 27, was arrested and charged with burglary, trespassing and theft.

LINTHICUM AREA

ASSAULTS

White Ave., 800 block, 11:23 p.m. March 15. During an argument at a residence, a man attacked a female acquaintance, who then threatened him at gunpoint. He took the gun from her and, during a struggle, shot her in the lower torso. A man who had intervened also was injured. The injured people were taken to a hospital. A Glen Burnie man, 44, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, use of a handgun in the commission of a violent crime and reckless endangerment.

PASADENA AREA

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Ritchie Hwy., 8000 block, 4 p.m. March 20. Two men were seen using a coat hanger to attempt to break into a vehicle. Two Pasadena men, ages 19 and 20, were charged with fourth-degree burglary.

SEVERN AREA

ASSAULTS

Donaldson and Old Donaldson avenues, 9:09 p.m. March 20. During a traffic stop, a motorist in a Jeep Grand Cherokee drove toward a police officer, then sped away. At the intersection of Chapel Gate Drive and Waugh Chapel Road in Odenton, the Jeep’s driver ran a red light and struck another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a hospital. An Odenton man, 25, was arrested. Charges included first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and several vehicular moving violations.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Chinquapin Round Rd., 200 block, 5 p.m. March 16 to 7:30 a.m. March 19. A wheel and tire were stolen from a vehicle left for service at a garage.

Copeland St., 1900 block, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 9. Three video game consoles and a TV were stolen from a residence entered by kicking a kitchen door.

Hicks Ave., unit block, 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 19. Two computers, a video game system, games and DVDs were stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

Lockwood Ct., 200 block, 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. March 16. A Global Positioning System device was among property stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

McKinley St., 1300 block, 5 p.m. March 15 to 11 a.m. March 17. A Global Positioning System device and an MP3 player were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway.

Moreland Pkwy., 1900 block, 1:30 to 2 p.m. March 18. Steel beams, steel tubes and a metal plate were stolen after they were left in front of a business.

Paddington Pl., 1000 block, 4:30 to 11:30 p.m. March 17. Two laptops, cash and six watches were stolen from a home entered through an unlocked window.

Washington St. W., unit block, 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. March 19. A residence was entered through a front door. Nothing was reported missing.
