ASSAULTS
Petworth Ct., 21800 block, 11:18 p.m. March 21. Responding to a report of a man banging on the door of a residence and damaging a window, police unsuccessfully tried to make contact with occupants in the home. Concerned about a possible threat to family members, police entered the home, where a man became combative and attacked an officer. An Ashburn man, 53, was charged with domestic assault, obstruction of justice and assault on a law enforcement officer.
