Page A4 of the June 16 Post was headlined “Campaign 2012.” The bulk of the page contained an article dedicated to praising presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney’s campaign [“ ‘I hear you,’ Romney tells Americans”] and two photographs of the presidential candidate. President Obama is mentioned in two short commentaries in the right-most column: one titled “Obama’s immigration decision may boost Rubio’s VP chances,” the other “Gingrich: Defeating Obama is ‘a national, patriotic duty.’ ”
It is difficult to imagine that Mr. Romney’s campaign could have published a propaganda leaflet more supportive of its candidate and more negative about President Obama.
