ROBBERIES

Maryland Ave. and Prospect Hill Pl., 8:14 p.m. Aug. 6. A man who implied that he had a gun approached a pedestrian from behind and robbed him of cash.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Argyle St. E., 200 block, 7 p.m. July 31 to 5:30 a.m. Aug. 1. Cash and property were stolen from vehicle entered by force.

Azalea Dr., 600 block, noon to 3:43 p.m. Aug. 3. Cash was stolen from a business. A man was seen fleeing the premises.

Carita Ct., 8000 block, Cindy Lane, 7900 block, Deepwell Dr., 7900 block, and Hollyoak Dr., 9200 block, Aug. 2 to 3. Cash was stolen from several vehicles.

Charred Oak Dr., 9100 block, 12:01 to 5:30 a.m. Aug. 3. Cash was stolen from a garage at a residence.

Henslowe Dr., 2300 block, 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 3. A wallet was stolen from a residence.

Kipling Rd., Oak Meadow Dr. and Wick Lane, Aug. 1 to 2. Cash and CDs were among property stolen from several unlocked vehicles.

Lakewood Ct., 13700 block, 3:25 a.m. Aug. 2. Three unlocked vehicles were searched. Two males were seen fleeing the area. Nothing was reported missing.

Monroe St., 200 block, 11 a.m. July 31 to 10 a.m. Aug. 1. A laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

Research Blvd., 1400 block, Aug. 3 to 6. Cash and property were stolen from a delicatessen entered by force.

Rockville Pike, 1600 block, 4:35 a.m. Aug. 6. Cash was stolen from a restaurant. A male was seem fleeing the premises.

Rollins Ave., 100 block, 5:30 p.m. Aug. 5 to 6:15 p.m. Aug. 6. A cellphone charger was stolen from a vehicle in a parking garage.

Rollins Ave., 100 block, 10:15 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 6. A Global Positioning System unit and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle entered by force.

Tilden Crest Lane, 11200 block, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 30. A wallet was stolen from a vehicle. A credit card from the wallet was used to make unauthorized purchases.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

Academy Way, 12200 block, 1:21 a.m. Aug. 5. A Honda Accord was stolen.

ASSAULTS

Flower Ave., 8900 block, 3:30 p.m. Aug. 3. A male threatened an acquaintance at gunpoint.

New Hampshire Ave., 11700 block, 1:50 p.m. Aug. 2. A woman argued with a person at a library, then stabbed the person several times with an ink pen. No serious injuries were reported.

ROBBERIES

Blair Rd., 7500 block, 11:56 p.m. Aug. 6. Two men threatened a pedestrian and robbed her of a purse and a travel bag.

Carroll Ave., 8500 block, 3:35 p.m. Aug. 3. A man forced a pedestrian into a park area at knifepoint, then robbed her of a chain from her neck and a passport.

Colesville Rd., 8300 block, 10:22 a.m. Aug. 2. A man robbed a gas station of cash at gunpoint.

Domer Ave., 500 block, 5:54 a.m. Aug. 5. Three men and a woman robbed a pedestrian of his cellphone and a wallet at gunpoint. The men fled on foot, while the woman rode away on a bicycle.

Leslie St., 10300 block, 2 a.m. Aug. 7. Five men threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of a cellphone and a wallet.

Piney Branch Rd., 9300 block, 4:25 a.m. Aug. 5. A male robbed a person of property at knifepoint.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

Berleigh Hill Ct., Childress Terr., Cotton Tree Lane, Cross River Ct. (three incidents), Hildegard Lane, Red Miles Dr. (three incidents), and Timberlake Dr., July 30 to Aug. 3. Several GPS units, a gun, a cellphone and coins were among property stolen from nine unlocked vehicles.

Carroll Ave., 8100 block, 5 a.m. Aug. 1 to 6 a.m. Aug. 1. Property was stolen from a school entered by force.

Chester St., 8100 block, 12:25 a.m. Aug. 4. An occupied residence was entered by force. A man fled empty-handed when confronted.

Green Forest Dr., 10100 block, 4:36 p.m. Aug. 3. A break-in occurred at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Heather Hollow Cir., 1500 block, 6:55 p.m. Aug. 6. A break-in occurred at a residence. Nothing was reported missing.

Manchester Rd., 6:30 a.m. July 31 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 5. Cash and property were stolen from a residence. A man was seen fleeing the premises.

McKnew Rd., 14700 block, 9:09 p.m. Aug. 3. A break-in occurred at a residence. An arrest was made. Police said that it was a domestic incident.

Maple Hill Rd., 2900 block, 9:24 a.m. Aug. 2. Two people entered a vacant residence through an open window. An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both of White Oak, were arrested.
