PHILADELPHIA — Less than an hour before the 8 p.m. tipoff, Philadelphia 76ers employees are scurrying around the Wells Fargo Center, hoping this Saturday night unfolds as planned. It's late March, and the team is handing out Allen Iverson bobblehead dolls. Iverson himself is scheduled to attend, a rare public appearance for the 37-year-old former NBA superstar. He'll be introduced during a pregame ceremony and then watch the game from Sixers chief executive Adam Aron's suite.

My visit to Atlanta started on Page 292. Immediately after landing, I wandered over to Map 14, Grant Park/Summerhill, to experience the "oddest Atlanta tourist attraction. " I had placed my utmost faith in this guidebook, and it honored that trust. At least when it came to Page 292. (Page 321, you are not off the hook. I will deal with you later.) While travel appsters hover over their gadgets, scrolling and squinting at a tiny screen, I hoisted my low-tech guidebooks all over Atlanta.

DUNWOODY, Ga. — Police in suburban Atlanta say rapper Chief Keef, whose name is Keith Cozart, has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Dunwoody police spokesman Timothy Fecht says officers arrested Cozart after responding to a call about illegal drug activity at the Le Méridien hotel just north of Atlanta Monday afternoon. Fecht says officers saw smoke and smelled marijuana wafting from a room. It wasn't immediately clear what Cozart was doing in Georgia. Representatives...

Atlanta at Carolina 1 p.m. Atlanta can point to a favorable pattern -- the one that has the visiting squad winning the past five installments of this series. To keep that one going, the Falcons want the effort that has won them two games at the Georgia Dome by a combined score of 72-35. In those contests, RB Michael Turner had 324 of his league-leading 366 yards and all of his five touchdowns; meanwhile, backup Jerious Norwood rushed for all but 18 of his 186 yards.

Former Atlanta Braves pitcher Rick Camp was found dead in his northwest Georgia home April 25. He was 59. Mr. Camp was found at his home in Rydal, about 55 miles northwest of Atlanta, Bartow County coroner Joel Guyton said. A deputy coroner told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that an autopsy would be performed to determine the cause of death but that there was nothing to indicate that the death was from anything other than natural causes. Mr. Camp played with the Braves from 1976 to 1985 and went 56-49 with a 3.37 earned run...

She disappears into a back room to find her hat and gloves. Nearly 13 years have passed since someone killed Priscilla Lollar's oldest child, and in that time, she says, she has never visited his grave. She has thought about what that moment would be like, and deep down she knows it is something she needs to do. But she's afraid that pain would soon follow, and so instead, Priscilla has chosen for years to feel nothing. Early on Jan. 31, 2000, Richard...

ATLANTA -- Tuesday's runoff election to decide the new mayor of this Georgia city appears headed to a recount, perhaps by this weekend, after a knife-edge result that exposed a racial fault line. Former state senator Kasim Reed declared victory after official results Wednesday showed him beating City Council member Mary Norwood by 758 votes out of more than 83,000 cast, a margin of 0.9 percent. Norwood said she will ask for a recount, under rules that permit one when candidates are separated by less than 1 percent of...

ATLANTA -- Jamal Crawford is trying not to jinx himself. When he talks about that long-awaited first trip to the playoffs, he still uses the word "if. " If Crawford keeps playing like he did Friday night, there shouldn't be any worries. Atlanta's valuable sixth man scored 18 points, including two crucial 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, and the Hawks beat the Boston Celtics for the second time this season, 93-85 Friday night. "I'm loving it," Crawford said. "If we get there this year, I'm really going to enjoy it. "...

ATLANTA — Even without an effective change-up, Julio Teheran still had enough to pitch into the ninth inning. "I decided to just compete with my other pitches," he said. " Teheran pitched 8 1-3 strong innings, Dan Uggla hit a three-run homer and the Atlanta Braves won their fourth straight game with a 5-1 victory over the struggling Minnesota Twins on Monday. Planning my first-ever trip to Atlanta was making me dizzy, and not only because of the city's dazzling number of offerings. Hunched over a borrowed iPad, flicking among a too-large array of information-loaded travel apps, I soon realized that the kind of motion sickness that keeps me from ever going to an Imax movie apparently applied to large electronic tablets as well. It was a sign of things to come. I'd set myself a challenge. I was going to navigate Atlanta using only travel apps.
