The Washington Wizards took one last up-close look at prospects for the NBA draft yesterday when they hosted forwards Darrell Arthur (Kansas) and Novica Velickovic (Serbia). The Wizards hold the 18th and 47th selections in tonight's draft. The 6-foot-9, 225-pound Arthur, who left the national champion Jayhawks after his sophomore season, is projected to be selected somewhere between the 14th and 20th picks, while the 6-9, 240-pound Velickovic, who played in Belgrade last season, could be a second-round selection.

LAS VEGAS — Donald Trump's Miss USA pageant will be hosted by a Jonas brother and an E! News personality. George Taylor Morris, 62, formerly the daily morning host on XM Satellite Radio's "Deep Tracks" classic rock channel and the primary host of the company's interview program, "XM Artist Confidential," died Aug. 1 of throat cancer at his home in Reston. Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) is co-hosting a fundraiser Tuesday night for Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), an event certain to add to the buzz about O'Malley's presidential ambitions, given that Shaheen hails from New Hampshire. Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) is the other host of the fundraiser, being held at a residence in Owings Mills. Bill Trumbull, who regaled Washington's radio audiences for two decades as co-host of an easy-going and top-rated afternoon program, died of respiratory failure Jan. 10 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.
