Dominique Davis and Steven Gamble show so much comfort and awareness playing alongside each other, one would think they had been playing together their whole lives. Actually, it has been since the fourth grade for the Sherwood seniors. "I was never the star running back, and he was never the biggest kid," Gamble said. "I'd just be a blocker, but I know where [Davis] is going to cut. I know where I need to get in there for him. " Davis and Gamble worked like a lock and key last night for the Warriors.

Steve Nash has been on a Cousy-esque run. The point guard for the NBA's highest-scoring team the past six seasons, Nash did it for three years in Dallas, where he dared teams to keep up with him, and three more in Phoenix, where a faster tempo and a plethora of weapons turned him into a two-time most valuable player. His run is the best for a point guard since Boston's Bob Cousy directed the league's best offense from 1952 to '57. "Steve, he's the most creative player in the game.
